this book was nice and light. I wanted to see more of Cimorene but that didn't happen. though she did raise Daystar well. Daystar was a nice character although i liked more Shiara. she had a temperament. there was still mocking to the delicate, princess that all they knew to do was screaming in a polite voice "help! help!" and get their savior in more trouble then he could handle. there was also some walking around and the ever so practical humore that definie these books. the solution was simple (yet, that's what I find so beautiful about Wrede's books- no supreme evil that's hard to fight and a disappointing solution. she knows her craft) and it was nice to see how Cimorene sent her son on a search without him knowing what was it he was supposed to find.yup, a nice conclusion to a wonderful series. I'm kind of sad to bid goodbye to them.
